Ségolène Royal, former partner to French President Francois Hollande, has been attacked by his new companion Valérie Trierweiler (pictured) who has tweeted her support for Royal’s opponent in Sunday’s parliamentary elections.

Very bad form

To be the partner of the socialist president and endorse a dissident member of that party would be like Michelle Obama supporting a Libertarian. Very bad politics and rotten loyalty to one's partner. I've read many head-scratching comments about why should Trierweiler be acting with such jealousy? After all, Hollande left his wife for her. Doesn't appear it was quite that simple. He moved out of his home with Royale AFTER she learned of his relationship with Trierweiler. Trieweiler has no way of knowing if he would have willingly chosen her without the exposure of his cheating. Lots of unresolved issues here. But she's still acting like an insecure 13-year-old.

Why did Trierweiler have to twitter that? It really shows she has no class nor decency. Her "lover", Hollande, happens to be the father of 4 of Royal's kids. Surely the kids are not going to admire her for that?
I suppose Trierweiler owes Royal nothing and as a previous comment stated, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, AND of course, we don't expect Trierweiler to get into bed with Royal - but if you haven't got something clever or nice to say, then surely don't say anything at all??

In the circumstances, even Royal's political opponent must be wondering whether the public support he got from Trieweiler was genuine or whether he has been used to humiliate the mother of the President's four children.

Well it didn't take long for the overly ambitious ''concubine'' of the French president to reveal her true colors. She seems to think she was elected as well. She has no class.

As an American and a male this conflict between Royal and Trierweiler is beyond my comprehension. I had thought that a "sisterhood" would prevail between the two ladies, instead it has all the characteristics of jungle warfare with no prisoners taken. My aura of the women of France has been destroyed. I will now look at my most favorite actress Audrey Tautou in a new light.

I think there will be some great times ahead from all these `liberated women` of the left. Let them fight it out it will detract from the mess that will inevitably come from the policies of President Hollande.
