At least ten people were killed and scores injured in Lebanon’s second city of Tripoli on Tuesday night as sectarian clashes between pro-Assad Alawites and Sunni Muslims opposed to the Syrian regime continued for a second day.

Syria's presence on Lebanon's soil approximately seven (7)years ago can now be justified by the spillover of the current conflict into Tripoli. Syria had security concerns and this has not changed. The Lebanese in Tripoli decided to participate in their neighbour's conflict. This was a clear invitation of the conflict into their homes. They have only have themselves to blame.
