French gossip magazine Closer has taken “an enormous risk” in publishing topless photos of the Duchess of Cambridge while holidaying in Provence says FRANCE 24-RFI’s legal expert, where the right to lead a private life is strictly upheld.
Its a sad comment on life, if people cant sunbake nude or topeless in private...its interesting Ireland and Italy where the photos were first published, are bankrupt, not only finacally but morally and both strong catholic countries.
Would they publish a photo of a naked pope or cardinal?
If a man sits in the bushes looking in through windows at young women topless he is guilty of a sex offence, as in the UK. Therefore surely the photographer should go to jail and be put on the French equivalent of the sex offenders list, or does taking a camera make this creepy behaviour OK? If so, surely that's a perverts charter, take some phtots and it's fine.
Presumably the editor of closer France would equally be happy for people to take pictures of her changing, going to the loo, etc. or is she a hypocrite?
Ultimately one has to wonder to what extent public titillation is being served by releasing naked images of the future Queen of England or whether one should except despite her title she is fair game given her status as a public figure? Either way the images are sure to cause heart ache within the royal family as it grapples with snafu after snafu and once again has to contend with the fact that the media will ultimately have its way. So much for the media’s right to free expression one may wonder….?
The pictures are unfortunate, but this kind of thing goes with the job.
Frankly, I don't have a lot of sympathy for extraordinarily rich and privileged individuals, no matter how nice they likely are, who choose to live a high profile life of royal globe trotting and public relations campaigning, who find it hard to get a little privacy.
They really should have been surprised if someone wasn't out in the woods trying to take pictures.
Going to court will only ensure that it stays in the news for the next two years. Instead, do as Harry did, forget about it and get on with life, not to mention be a little more careful next time the Kate decides to sunbath topless.
How very sad for both of them that this magazine has printed these disgusting photos. How William must feel is anyone's guess, his mother dies in France and now the French do this to his wife. Shame on you Closer Magazine !!

If some one took photos of my girlfriend unbeknown by her I would hunt the lowlife down and stuff the camera where the sun dont shine.

Surely spying on a young topless woman is a sex crime?

Lawsuit
I don't understand why they wouldn't be able to demand eough damages to bankrupt the publication. That would send an appropriate message.
Get over yourself
