Fundamentalist terrorism in France: a home-grown threat

French newspapers are dominated by the aftermath of a series of arrests of terrorist suspects this weekend. Also, France's first lady is back in the papers.

Le Figaro and Libération are in agreement on the terrorist threat: it’s a home-grown phenomenon. Le Parisien evoked a drift towards terrorism among French youth, and Libération touches on a growing anxiety within the Jewish community.

President François Hollande’s partner is back in the press, showing her support for Florence Cassez, the French woman serving a 60 year sentence in a Mexican jail. Valérie Trierweiler’s sent her a care package, and could bring the issue up with Mexico’s new president.
