Four months after allegedly insulting a Parisian couple with anti-Semitic remarks, John Galliano is appearing in court. The design icon was fired as creative director at Christian Dior after the incident, ending a highly successful 15-year collaboration. Celebrities the world over sought to wear Galliano's designs, but whether there's any future in the designer's previously stellar career is now in question.
With a surprise 19% of the votes for his manifesto as a Socialist would-be leader, Benoît Hamon, (41), who represents factions to the left of the party, is the latest face on the French political scene. He will play a key role in Reims.
