Micheal Haneke awarded Palme d’Or for ‘Amour’

Michael Haneke (right) won the Cannes Film Festival's top prize on Sunday with ‘Amour’, a film about love and death, while the Grand Prize went to Matteo Garrone's Italian satire ‘Reality’ and Ken Loach's ‘The Angels' Share’ won the Jury Prize.

Libya rebellion film premieres at Cannes

A documentary by French philosopher Bernard-Henri Lévy (pictured) about the rebel overthrow of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi is being screened at the Cannes Film Festival Friday. Lévy was instrumental in persuading France to support the rebellion.
