Schlierenzauer takes the lead at Four Hills

A 141-metre leap took Austria's 17-year old Gregor Schlierenzauer to the lead in the annual Four Hills tournament, as he won the second leg in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Austria).

The 17-year-old took top spot with jumps of 132 and 141 metres for a points total of 274.4 points.
Finland's Janne Ahonen was second with leaps of 139 and 135 metres for 272.7 points with third place going to Michael Neumayer of Germany who jumped 131.5 and 135.5 metres for a total of 258.6 points.
Favourite Thomas Morgenstern of Austria, who won the opening leg at Oberstdorf on Sunday, disappointed his fans by only managing to place sixth.
Schlierenzauer - who was second on Sunday - also took the overall top spot for the Four Hills Trophy, passing ahead of Morgenstern and Ahonen.
