THE PRESIDENTIAL DEBATES, LIVE AND IN THREE LANGUAGES, ON FRANCE 24 AND FRANCE24.COM - 22/09/2008

FRANCE 24 will broadcast, live and in their entirety, the four pre-electoral presidential debates. The debates will oppose the two candidates Barack Obama and John McCain and their running mates, Joe Biden and Sarah Palin.

In French, English and Arabic*, and live on FRANCE24.com, the schedule for the 4 debates is as follows:

The 27^th of September at 03:00 – Foreign policy and national security.

First debate between Barack Obama and John McCain – Place: University of Mississippi, Oxford, Mississippi.

The 3^rd of October 2008 at 03:00 – Domestic and foreign policy.

Debate between running mates Joe Biden and Sarah Palin – Place: Washington University, Saint Louis, Missouri.

The 8^th of October at 03:00 - Questions and Answers with an electoral panel.  

Second debate between Barack Obama and John McCain – Place: Belmont University, Nashville, Tennessee.

The 16^th of October at 03:00 - Domestic and economic policy.

Third and final debate between Barack Obama and John McCain – Place: Hofstra University, Hempstead, New York.

The 4 debates will be broadcast in full with simultaneous translation for the French and Arabic* language channels.

The four debates will also be rebroadcast throughout the day following their live broadcast.
