Rotterdam wins nod to host 2010 Tour de France departure
The 97th edition of the Tour de France will push off from Rotterdam in July 2010, in what will be the fifth time a Dutch city has been selected as the event's starting point.

- England's young generation beat Germany 2-1 to take its fifth straight win. The Mannschaft was defeated for the first time in Berlin since 1973. Elsewhere, Holland were impressive 3-1 winners over Sweden, and Italy drew 1-1 with Greece.

- Argentina enjoyed a 1 to 0 victory over Scotland with an early Maxi Rodriguez goal. It was the first match for former star Diego Maradona as new football coach for Argentina. In other friendly games, England beat Germany 2-1.
