- The 97th edition of the Tour de France will push off from Rotterdam in July 2010, in what will be the fifth time a Dutch city has been selected as the event's starting point.

- England's young generation beat Germany 2-1 to take its fifth straight win. The Mannschaft was defeated for the first time in Berlin since 1973. Elsewhere, Holland were impressive 3-1 winners over Sweden, and Italy drew 1-1 with Greece.
