French travel agencies suspend all trips to Mexico

French travel firms announced that they are suspending all trips to Mexico as fears mount over the spead of an outbreak of swine flu. Mexican authorities say the virus has been confirmed or is suspected as the cause of more than 150 deaths.


AFP - French travel firms announced Tuesday they were suspending all trips to Mexico, as the death toll from confirmed and suspected cases of swine flu in the country topped 150.

Two French associations representing tour companies and travel agents said in a joint statement they had decided to halt all departures for Mexico, "in agreement with all retailers and main travel agents offering trips to Mexico."
