Due to an Achilles heel injury, Thierry Henry won't be playing for France against the Faroe Islands in a 2010 World Cup qualifier, his club Barcelona announced on Monday. Les "Bleus" are currently second of their group, eight points behind Serbia.

REUTERS - Striker Thierry Henry will be unavailable for France when they play the Faroe Islands in a 2010 World Cup qualifier on Wednesday because of an Achilles injury, his club Barcelona said on Monday.

Henry will not travel with France for the game in Torshavn because of pain in both Achilles tendons, the European champions said on their website (www.fcbarcelona.com).
