Iran has made the front page of most French newspapers this morning, including the Christian newspaper La Croix and France Soir.

The communist newspaper L’Humanité reports: “Iran: The regime’s bloody deadlock”

Despite the repression, protests continue says the newspaper. The past six months have been extremely violent in Iran, ever since Ahmadinejad won the disputed Presidential elections.

According to Libération, the regime is now using new “repression techniques”, in a bid to keep protesters quiet. The newspaper claims that many inmates have been freed from prison to be trained by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, to fight against protesters.

Meanwhile, Le Figaro reports about the French Interior Ministry's decision to toughen airport security. It wants to draw a "passenger profile" as soon as people book an international flight.
The news comes after the failed terrorist attack on Christmas day, when a Nigerian student tried to blow up a plane.

And finally, Aujourd’hui en France reports about Miss Paris who has lost her crown after revealing photos were published in the media.
