Afghanistan is gearing up for its second election since the fall of the Taliban. With almost a third of Kabul's parliament represented by women, the Afghan national assembly is something of a model among Muslim countries. But behind the statistics, the reality is a little different. Female politicians still have to operate within a system that has only reluctantly allowed them a voice.
