Bosnia and Herzegovina: healing ethnic divides (part 1)

Fifteen years after the war, the country is still struggling to overcome its ethnic divisions, a major hurdle on the road to EU membership. Among those trying to bridge that divide is the Oscar-winning director of “No Man’s Land”, Danis Tanović. Europe District met him and his new party Naša Stranka. We also followed the country’s new multi-ethnic army and we listened to the melancholic sound of Sevdah, the traditional Bosnian music.
