Murdochs in the dock

The big day is here - Rupert and James Murdoch and Rebekah Brooks face questioning from Parliament, and the international papers have plenty to say about that - and about former News of the World reporter Sean Hoare, who was found dead last night.

The Independent has asked its readers to vote on what questions they want MPs to put to the Murdochs on Tuesday - while the Guardian re-runs a recent interview with Sean Hoare, the former News of the World reporter found dead last night, in which he says he wanted to blow the lid on a culture so intimidating grown men were regularly in tears in the newsroom.

In other news, the Washington Post looks at controversy over US funding for pro-democracy movements in Egypt, and the Guardian reports from China - where Harry Potter is being pushed off cinema screens in favour of a Communist epic.
