With the campaign for the Republican presidential nomination in full swing, the issue of illegal immigration in the US is a burning one. Candidates are putting forward radical ideas to combat it, citing those already in force in southern states such as Alabama. Checks are being stepped up and anyone found not to have the proper papers are expelled, resulting in a mass exodus... to neighbouring states.
