Kachin rebels take on the Burmese government

For a year now, civil war has raged between the Burmese government and ethnic Kachin rebels. After rebel forces launched a general draft, hundreds of men and women enrolled for the front line. The conflict has displaced thousands who now live in makeshift camps and with by-elections looming, the government's offensive has stepped up.
