Turkey warns Syria over cross-border fire

It's hard to believe that barely 3 years ago, Syrian President Bassar al-Assad and Turkish PM Recept Tayyip Erdogan were so close, they went on holiday together. On Wednesday, Erdogan made it clear that Turkey would not tolerate any more incidents, such as the one on Friday where Syrian soldiers shot down a Turkish fighter jet. Relations between the two countries are at an all-time low; although Turkey says it won't go to war, Ankara has certainly beefed up its military presence on the border.
