What if Nicolas Sarkozy ditched the UMP and relied on his "friends" for a political comeback? Not likely, you might think, but after today it is possible. The "Friends of Nicolas Sarkozy" group has created a fund-raising arm and plans a third meeting in late August, just at the time the main parties are holding their summer meetings.
