Last night, in the heart of Paris, police clashed with rioters furious about the news that it will soon be legal for gay couples to marry and to adopt children. In recent months, hundreds of thousands have taken part in protests and there has been an alarming rise in homophobic attacks. Bu President François Hollande remains undeterred.
