Slovakian anti-Roma wall falls foul of European rules

The European Commission has called for the destruction of a wall built in Kosice, Slovakia's second city and a European capital of culture, saying it violates the EU's stand against racism. It's believed the wall's construction has divided Roma people from the majority population. It is not the first wall dividing communities in Slovakia, where Roma citizens represent between 5 and 10% of the 5.5 million population.
