Europeans reacted were shocked by the deaths of several hundred migrants who were trying to reach the shores of the European Union. On a visit to the tiny Italian island of Lampedusa, EU Commission Chief Jose Manuel Barroso said that these tragedies were a bitter wake-up call. But is the EU ready to reform its immigration policy?
