How to stop Ebola: Centers for Disease Control confirms first case of virus in US

The first case of Ebola contracted on US soil is reinforcing calls for urgent, concerted action. Will it be possible to contain the disease in America? And how is Ebola being tackled in West Africa, where doctors and epidemiologists are at odds over the best way to care for the sick whilst protecting the healthy? The international community is now reacting with a UN command centre in Accra, but how co-ordinated are these efforts, and will they work?
