Ivan Simonovic, UN Assistant Secretary-General for Human Rights, has just returned from South Sudan, where ethnic fighting has been raging since December. He tells France 24's Jessica Le Masurier that he saw evidence of mass killings, use of child soldiers and sexual violence in the world’s newest nation. Regarding the violence in the Central African Republic, he says there is "a potential genocide threat”, but “not yet an immediate danger of genocide" there.
