Schulz returns to Parliament presidency: back to business as usual?

On July 1st, the newly elected European Parliament chose Martin Schulz as its president for another two and half years, backing the German Social Democrat who has fought for more power for the EU assembly. This decision follows the parliament's success in getting its candidate, Jean-Claude Juncker, nominated as European Commission President. But are Schulz and Juncker the right men to lead Europe in these troubled times? How will they respond to the recent surge of eurosceptic parties?
