Talking Europe

Dacian Ciolos, EU Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development

In August, Russia declared a one-year embargo on meat, fish, dairy, fruit and vegetables from the EU and the US in retaliation for economic sanctions over Moscow's actions in Ukraine. How big a blow are these sanctions to the EU farming sector? What has the EU put in place to compensate for the loss in exports to Russia? Christophe Robeet puts these questions to Dacian Ciolos, the EU Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development.
