'Pressure is now on Republicans to perform': Zogby

After six years of staunchly opposing President Barack Obama, US Republicans appear to finally have him cornered. They've achieved their best results in midterm elections in 60 years, taking control of the US Senate and boosting their majority in the House of Representatives. Many commentators say this reduces Obama to "lame duck" status for the last two years of his presidency.

John Zogby, founder of the Zogby Poll and dubbed The "Prince of Polling", told FRANCE 24 in an exclusive interview, “The Republicans now unequivocally control Congress, and the pressure is now on them to perform".
