Abe under pressure as Japan slides into recession

Pressure is mounting on Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe after new figures showed the country went into recession in the three months to the end of September. The economy contracted by 1.6 percent in the third quarter, seen as a knock-on effect from the sales tax rise implemented in April.
