The Pope at the EU Parliament: Not a blessing for all MEPs?

The first papal visit to the European Parliament since 1988 did not go unnoticed. Staunch secularists called for other representatives of civil society to be given the same platform as Pope Francis. Christian MEPs replied that other religious representatives, such as the Grand Mufti, have also addressed the Parliament in the past.
