Islamic court sentences Nigerian cleric to death

In Nigeria, an Islamic court in the city of Kano has sentenced a Muslim cleric to death for blasphemy. Abdul Nyass's comments were made last year and sparked rioting amongst the local Sunni population. Also, the UN's peacekeeping chief in Central African Republic promises a strong response to the latest round of sex abuse allegations levelled against some of the troops he oversees in the country.
