Greece heads to the polls: What happens if Syriza wins?

There’s high drama yet again from Greece. Less than a week before a crucial general election, European leaders are anxious at the prospect of fresh political turmoil in the country. Syriza, the left-wing anti-austerity party, is leading in opinion polls. Its charismatic leader has vowed to renegotiate the terms of Athens’ 240-billion-euro bailout. Alexis Tsipras also wants Greece’s creditors to write off part of the country’s debt.
