We are a week away from a UK election that could send the British Isles into unchartered waters. Incumbent David Cameron has been touting a recovery stronger than on the continent, so why are the ruling Conservatives in a dead heat with Labour? Moreover, after the rise of the far-right in France and northern Europe and the emergence of new anti-austerity parties in Greece and Spain, could Britain's election further highlight the fragmentation of traditional political fault lines?
