France's Patriot Act? Lawmakers Approve Surveillance Bill (part 1)

French lawmakers have overwhelmingly approved a bill that spells out a legal framework for intelligence-gathering, including mass monitoring of the big phone and internet operators for "suspicious patterns". But how wide a net do you cast when you take into account that the Paris terror attack suspects had all been monitored... but planned their attacks using the cellphones of their wives and girlfriends?
