Back to Iraq: US troops drawn in by fight against IS group (part 2)

The White House spokesman, Josh Earnest, announced this week an extra 450 non-combat troops to back up the 3,000 US military advisors already in Iraq. Also this week, Turkey's president is suffering his first electoral setback since coming to power in 2002. For four days after a general election where his AKP failed to garner a supermajority, Recep Tayyip Erdogan stayed silent, a silence broken only on Thursday.
