Issued on: Modified:
Three months after the signature of the so-called Minsk II agreements, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk is in Paris for meetings with top French officials, while President Petro Poroshenko is in Germany. France and Germany were instrumental in spearheading the Minsk agreements, signed in a bid to stop the fighting and find a political situation to the crisis in eastern Ukraine.
"Everyone is engaged in the process of de-escalating the situation in Ukraine and we are all eager to implement this so-called Minsk deal", Ukrainian PM Yatsenyuk told FRANCE 24's Marc Perelman. "We have on the table the Minsk deal which is still valid, and we expect that Russia is to implement and to execute the deal".
