Migrant crisis puts the EU to the test, anger at Air France and FIFA after Blatter (part 2)
Issued on: Modified:
Angela Merkel and François Hollande came to the rescue of the EU with a show of unity between French and German leaders unseen at the European parliament since Helmut Kohl and François Mitterrand in 1989. Also, two Air France executives made a run for it when they announced 2,900 layoffs at the national carrier, losing their shirts in the process. And Sepp Blatter will be leaving FIFA sooner than expected. The FIFA ethics committee decided to suspend him, along with UEFA boss Michel Platini.
