The Sinjar offensive: Turning point in the fight against IS group? (part 1)

Maybe the US-led coalition does have a strategy for defeating the Islamic State group after all. Kurdish PYD forces in northern Iraq have launched an offensive near Mount Sinjar on the main road that links Mosul to the Islamic State group headquarters of Raqqa in Syria. They're certainly providing the boots on the ground. But will it be enough? And is it a turning point?
