At least 27 killed during hotel siege in Bamako

The siege on the Radisson Blu hotel in Bamako lasted several hours, leaving at least 27 people dead according to security sources, this after an initial 170 guests and staff were taken hostage. Islamist militant group Al Mourabitoun claimed responsibility for the attack, which it says was a joint operation with Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb.
