COP21 summit is 'a matter of life or death' for those who are food insecure
Ertharin Cousin, the Executive Director of the UN World Food Programme, spoke to FRANCE 24 at the COP21 climate conference in Paris. She explained why reaching a deal at the summit is so important for the world's most vulnerable people.
"Climate affects agricultual development, access to water, the ability of families to feed their children. And if we do not invest in the tools that are necessary to build the resilience of the most vulnerable people to climate, we know that we will have more hunger, more famine, more people needing assistance", she told FRANCE 24’s Marc Perelman.
