The battle for Crimea's energy supply
Crimea: annexed by Russia, still claimed by Kiev. Yet one year later and the territory remains firmly in Russian hands. Ukraine's leaders stand accused of inaction, and activists are now ramping up the pressure. In September they started a blockade to stop goods vehicles from entering Crimea, and they now support an energy blackout. Kiev has tacitly backed the protesters. But can their actions help wring any concessions from Russia? Gulliver Cragg and Elena Volochine investigate.
