TECH24: Technology and archaeology plan to produce 3-D printed replica of a Syrian Palmrya arch

It was once dubbed the best preserved monument in Syria but today all that's left of Palmyra's 2000 year old temple is an arch after it was destroyed by Islamic State militants last year. Now, in an act of defiance, the institute for digital archaeology has come up with a plan to immortalize the entrance to the temple with a 3-D printed replica of the structure that will later be shipped to New York and London.
