EU and Ukraine: Better together or apart?

A new political crisis could be on the horizon in Ukraine. President Petro Poroshenko has suffered a series of setbacks with his government failing to get support for reforms demanded by the Minsk peace deal. Cries of corruption are also growing louder.


And while an EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, previously delayed by Russia's insistence, has now come into force, one EU country, the Netherlands, is calling that into question with a referendum on the issue in April.

So what is the relationship between the EU and Ukraine today and where is it headed?
