Cuba: The art of change (part 2)

Our exploration of Cuban culture continues, as FRANCE 24 visits the Caribbean country at a moment of historic change. Diplomatic relations with the US may be warming up after a long freeze, but one American visitor was always welcome on the island: Ernest Hemingway. Olivia Salazar-Winspear re-traces the Nobel prize-winning author’s steps in Cuba, from his countryside villa to his favourite seaside getaway.

We also check out Havana’s international book fair and ask author Leonardo Padura about the challenges local writers face. And we take a look at Cuban cinema, with actor Jorge Perugorría, star of the Oscar-nominated "Fresa y Chocolat”.
