British ambassador to France: Brexit would mean 'a lot of unknowns'
Date created :
British voters will decide on June 23rd whether or not to stay in the EU. Julian King, the new British ambassador to France, comments on the possibility of a Brexit. He believes the debate "is going to play out around a choice between what we have, what we know of our relationship with the rest of the EU" and "a lot of unknowns, questions that aren’t yet answered".
One thing he is certain about is that concerning terrorism, "we are better off dealing with that kind of threat by working together".
Regarding speculation that bilateral agreements between France and the UK could be jeopardised by a Brexit, he points out that this issue will not arise if the British people vote to remain in the EU.
