Meanwhile, China’s Xi Jinping faced growing dissent at home due to a slowing economy and a major public health scandal over expired vaccines. Also, Indian steel giant Tata announced the sale of its UK assets, and Pakistan was the scene of a terrorist bombing targeting Christians.
