Godfrey Mwampembwa has long been one of Kenya's most celebrated cartoonists, known as Gado, and his sketches in the national newspaper, which have poked fun at the political elite for years, have become emblematic of the media freedom, which Kenya has enjoyed for many years. But after 23 years his services are no longer required.
