Obama in Japan: Will his final G7 mark end of an era? (part 1)

At the G7 summit in Japan both past and future are looming large as Barack Obama started his visit with a tour of an ancient shrine with his host Shinzo Abe. The Japanese prime minister raised fresh questions over the US's military base at Okinawa, a remnant of World War II. More on that Friday when Obama becomes the first US president to visit Hiroshima, although he will not apologise for the two atomic bombs dropped on Japan. How should Obama address the past, and the future?
