James Galbraith on Greece's debt crisis: ‘A default is inevitable’
Date created :
James Galbraith is one of the world's leading economists. During the height of the Greek crisis he spent months travelling in between Austin and Athens, working closely with then-finance minister Yanis Varofakis. His latest book ‘Welcome to the Poisoned Chalice: The Destruction of Greece and the Future of Europe’, will be published in June. While many analysts are convinced we won’t see a Greek crisis this summer, our guest says that the way things stand today, a Greek default is inevitable.
