At least 17 dead in al Shabaab attack on Mogadishu hotel

The United Nations wants to add 2,500 troops and personnel to its operations Mali, one of its most dangerous missions worldwide. A series of attacks in May left 12 peacekeepers dead.

The death toll from the Wednesday’s attack on an upscale hotel in Mogadishu has now risen to 17. We get the latest from our people on the ground.
