Whatsapp boosts encryption on all messages

The messaging service Whatsapp has introduced "end to end" encryption on all messages, which means that they can only be read by their intended recipients. The move has been heralded as a "huge victory" for free speech by Amnesty International. Also today: a rule in the United States has scuppered a mega merger of drugs companies.
